For some reason, I am feeling very beachy today. I was thinking about vacations and where I would like to go. There is no better place for me than on some warm beach with sand between my toes and a cold drink at my side. I love the sounds I hear at the beach the most. Waves repeatedly lapping the shoreline, soft call of sea birds, children laughing as they play in the surf and make sand castles.

www.customizedwalls.com has several tropical images to choose from. I can imagine being able to stare at them on some cold day in January and feeling relaxed even when I can not be at the beach.

Well, we accomplished something pretty fantastic last week! Two new productions for Customized Walls.

It was a hot and sticky weekend but I really needed to get going with a video that showed how to use our peel and stick fabric for murals, wallpaper, etc. I had come up with an idea a few weeks ago to use the kids. I thought it would be cute PLUS show how easy it is to use Customized Walls. First, I came up with a shot list of all things you can stick CW to and things you shouldn't stick it to.

We also wanted to do an installation video showing off how easy Customized Walls is to put up. We had two of the 10 yr olds put it up and I think the video came out terrific! I hope you enjoy these. Lots of hard work went in...including some actual sweat and tears...BUT it is done! And, we are pretty proud of it!

So, if anyone tells you starting a web business is easy, don't listen. I have been working for a year about 14 hrs a day 7 days a week. I have hardly seen friends, taught my kids to do laundry and dishes, and cleaned my house the base minimum just to be presentable.


All this work makes Laurie a DULL girl! 

My 10 yr old daughter and I having a "stick your tongue out contest!"

So, what is a girl to do when her brain is mush from emailin, callin, design changin, social media-in, sample requestin to do?


Why take funny pictures of herself of course.


I can not recommend it enough. So, if you own or are starting a business, step away from the puter at pick up your smartphone and click away.


I dont know about you, but it certainly relieves MY stress and makes me laugh at myself a little. It never is good to take yourself too seriously!

My face is shocking!!!!!

Here, we took one of our Stock Images and added the name of a customer's daughter. Don't you think she will just FLIP when she sees her name on her wall?

Here, we took one of our stock images and colored it to match the clients furniture. We can very closely match many of the paint colors offered by Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. What a great way to make sure that your mural or wallpaper accent really goes with the room!

Design Ideas That Can Really Tie in a Room

Well, Everyone seems to know how easy it is to peel-and-stick one of our murals. But what many of you DON'T know is that our Stick-On Fabric can be used on many surfaces. We have had customers use it for cabinets, doors, desks, drawer covers, dishwashers, refrigerator doors, lamp shades, and more!


Here are some ideas that I think would work well:

In this room, we custom designed the wallpaper to match the wardrobe door handle. We think it would look even better with a smaller version of the same image with reversed color. (white with green paws) stuck in the under-bed drawers and maybe even on the computer desk.

TALK ABOUT CUSTOM, right?

This is a image that was designed and uploaded by one of our clients. He loves the graffiti look and was happy to add it to the walls. Later, he installed the same print to his kitchen cabinets and the ceiling in his open area loft.

Had just a fab, fab, fabULOUS weekend at Akwa Marina and Yacht Club in Laconia, NH

So, on our off time this summer we have been spending lots of time at the best marina and yacht club in NH. You should definitely check it out at www.akwamarina.com. We have a sailboat there and we certainly do love sailing BUT the people and the facilities just totally rock. They have a pool, hot tub and beach. The docks are fabulous for fishing and jumping off. And the best part? The people! Everyone is just so darn nice! The kids have become instant best friends with the kids there and we have made great friends that we will have for a lifetime.

I would have to say if you are ever in the area, you should totally check it out! I can promise you will fall in love as much as I have! And, there may even be a new customized wall coming to the game room...;)
